Save Lakeridge hosting Community Mtg- Aug 5th

Lakeridge Community Meeting
๐Ÿ“… Tuesday, August 5th | ๐Ÿ•• 6:00โ€“7:00 PM
๐Ÿ“ Bartley Ranch  โ€“ Plaza Pavilion

Save Lakeridge is hosting a 2nd Community Meeting on August 5th. Please join us to learn the status of Duncan Golfโ€™s revised application to rezone 12.5 acres to Special Planning District (SPD) and discuss as a community the proposed list of uses in the application including a hotel, hotel villas, restaurants, bars, an outdoor event venue, six pickleball courts, two tennis courts, pool, and spa.

While SaveLakeridge does not support any project that replaces open space in residential neighborhoods with an intense development, Duncanโ€™s proposal, as currently submitted, would severely harm our views, privacy, property value, and make our traffic on adjacent streets even worse. The revised application includes several inconsistencies from what Duncan communicated to residents at their neighborhood meeting on July 8th; the most important of which he said there would be no outdoor event venue.

At our Save Lakeridge community meeting, we will review the salient points of the revised application, such as proposed uses, height, set backs, probable noise, and what is unsuitable with residential properties adjacent to the proposed hotel and spa. With a stated 10- year development window and no plans to proceed โ€œfor at least five-tenโ€ per Mr. Duncan, this re-zoning application feels like a repeat of the Lakeridge Tennis Club debacle. If there is no development in a decade, the property reverts to General Commercial zoning with allowable height of 65โ€™ feet and residential density up to 45 dwelling units per acre!

It is essential your input on the revised application is communicated to the City Council and the Planning Commission as soon as possible! Contact info for all Planning Commissioners and City Council members can be found here on the Save Lakeridge website.

Help us spread the word and please invite your neighbors. We look forward to seeing you there.
