Recap of Ward 2 NAB meeting

This is a quick update to share the link to News 4 coverage of the Ward 2 NAB meeting held yesterday at City Hall. Two supporters of Save Lakeridge, Cindi Chandler and Donald Zucker, were interviewed and both provided excellent comments on our concerns over the proposed hotel. It was standing room only in the City chambers last night as there was strong support by our Lakeridge community in opposition to Duncan Golf’s proposed hotel. Andy Durling of Wood Rodgers presented an update on the application and then took questions from the Ward 2 NAB Board Members. The main update from Mr. Durling was that the site of the hotel/spa building has been moved a bit further south. He shared images and we will circle back with more about this and his presentation. Currently there is no update to the application on the City website at this time. 

Following Mr. Durling, the NAB Board listened to comments from members of the public. The thoroughness, composure, breadth of topic and preparedness by those that made public comment was impressive! Thank you to all of you that attended the meeting and especially to the numerous speakers. The NAB meeting was a great preview of the level of prepared comments there will be for the Planning Commissioners. Currently there is a tentative date of early October for the Planning Commission meeting.
