Planning Commission meeting - Now in Sept.
New Planning Commission Meeting Date Tentatively Set for Duncan Golf Zoning Map Amendment LDC25-00061
According to an email exchange with City Planning Staff,a new meeting date for the Planning Commision to review Duncan Golf Re-Zoning application is tentatively set for early September. If Duncan were to amend its proposal, which was indicated as their intention by City Planning Staff, it has until 30 days prior to the meeting date to do so, making now an important time for the Save Lakeridge community to continue to voice its concerns and provide feedback to city planners, elected officials and Duncan Golf.
Voters and concerned citizens who care deeply about the City’s Master Plan of logical and orderly growth and the protection and preservation of land zoned as Parks Greenways Open Space (PGOS) should also continue to stay tuned for the latest information and updates here at SaveLakeridge.com.
Please continue to impress upon elected officials and the Planning Commission to not let Duncan Golf overreach with a re-zoning of 155 acres that would set new precedent for City of Reno open space, get rid of important firebreaks between neighborhoods, increase noise and traffic, or eliminate the natural beauty and wildlife prominent with the open space. Doing so would queue up a repeat of the Lakeridge Tennis Club debacle!
